This organic vegetable oil of Argan from Morocco is 100% natural and cold pressed.

It protects dry, wrinkled, devitalized and dehydrated skins, all those presenting an early aging by restoring their elasticity and suppleness. Argan oil also protects against the effects of external aggressions (sun, wind, cold). It contains vitamin E and several essential fatty acids including omegas 3 and 9.

It is very effective for treating chapped skin, burns and acne scars or surgery. As a hair mask, it restores shine and radiance to dry and tired hair.

It also strengthens brittle nails. The women of Morocco have always benefited from its virtues. Argan oil is non-comedogenic and insensitive to oxidation.

Keep away from children, air, heat and light.

More information

It is a tree reaching 7 to 8 m high which is covered with many thorns which protect it from grazing animals.

Its wood is extremely hard and gives it the name of ironwood in Morocco.

Its root system is particularly deep but devoid of absorbent hairs (“magniloid” roots).

It takes advantage of a symbiosis with different types of fungi to overcome this deficiency, only the latter being able to provide the various nutrients to the tree.

The artificial reproduction and cultivation of the latter thus requires the inoculation of several species of fungi at the level of its roots.

This is also what explains the relative scarcity of pure, quality argan oil.

There are only about 20 million trees in Morocco and much less in Algeria.

The physiological and ecological characteristics of the argan tree make it the ideal tree to fight against erosion and desertification.

In the arid and semi-arid regions where it grows, the argan tree is almost irreplaceable in the conservation of soils and pastures and for the fight against erosion and desertification.

This tree plays a key role in soil fertilization.

The argan tree thus constitutes the last bastion against the desertification which affects the south of Morocco and Algeria.

This ligneous plant protects the soil by the shade cast by its dense crown in sub-desert regions where the main enemy of vegetation is drought and solar desiccation.

The argan tree protects the soil against wind erosion and runoff, thus promoting the infiltration of rainwater that feeds the groundwater.

The argan tree is considered in the regions of the extreme south as a green belt against desertification.

As a result, the destruction of this ecosystem would lead to increased desertification and severe poverty in these regions.

In 1999, the Moroccan argan tree was classified by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve.
