Words by Anny Schneider

Diluted in a vegetable oil of first cold pressing, this essential oil of organic camphor rosemary is very useful in synergy in case of cramps (even menstrual) or body aches, acting as muscle relaxant.

It is also used to relieve circulatory disorders and rheumatism.

It also helps in case of digestive fatigue (diluted in a vegetable oil, massage on the abdomen).

Origin of this essential oil

This organic essential oil of camphor rosemary from Spain is distilled from the flowering tops of the plant.

Keep away from children, air, heat and light.

More information

The term: rosemary comes from the Latin Ros marinus which means "dew of the sea".

There are several different kinds of rosemary (camphor officinal rosemary - Rosmarinus officinalis camphoriferum, cineol officinal rosemary - Rosmarinus officinalis cineroliferum, verbenone officinal rosemary - Rosmarinus officinalis verbenoniferum, etc.).

For the topic of this short article, we are focusing on Cineol Rosemary.

In seasoning, as incense, as crown or in the bouquets of brides, the Romans used it in all important rituals.

Our certified organic essential oil is extracted from the needles and flowering tops of this rosemary cultivated or growing in abundance in the Mediterranean.

This rosemary oil is perfect to treat the latest hints of flu from this dreaded winter. It also neutralizes respiratory tract infections with mucous congestion: sinusitis, bronchial catarrh and pulmonary congestion.

It is perfect for installing the spring reviving energy, applied to the top of the skull, the cardiac plexus or the underside of the feet, because it activates the general or peripheral circulation.

In micro-diffusion, alone or mixed with other essential oils (orange, black spruce, ylang-ylang for example), rosemary fights chronic or occasional fatigue.

Applied to the neck, top of the skull or temples (not too close to the eyes), it helps to stimulate concentration and memory.

Rosemary with camphor (Rosmarinus off camphoriferum): do not use just any EO of rosemary, because not all of them have analgesic properties (rosemary is primarily a liver plant). Rosemary with camphor has a fairly powerful analgesic action. (Doctor Éric Ménat, general practitioner, graduate in dietetics and diseases of nutrition.
