This organic essential oil, extracted from the roots of this Vetiver, is known for its relaxing and soothing properties.
It helps to take root and is very useful in dissipating insomnia and alleviating episodes of stress.
Venous, lymphatic and hepato-pancreatic tonic, its action on the immune system is also interesting.
Its rich and suave aroma (woody, musky and earthy) makes it an important raw material in perfumery, as a base note or fixer.
Its texture being sticky or even syrupy, it flows very difficultly through the codigoutte.
We therefore recommend a dropper or otherwise dilute it in vegetable oil before using it, even as a perfume.
This organic essential oil of vetiver from Sri Lanka is obtained from the roots of the plant.
Recognized for its relaxing and soothing properties, it is very useful for dissipating insomnia and episodes of stress.
Its rich and suave aroma (woody, earthy, almost smoky) makes it an important raw material in perfumery, as a base note or fixative.
Its appearance being syrupy, almost viscous, it flows only with great difficulty through the codigoutte; so we recommend removing it to use it.
Anecdotally, growing vetiver in a greenhouse in a hydroponic system (above soil) can be useful as a phytoremediation agent to remove tetracycline (an antibiotic) from aqueous media in 40 days, as well as naproxen (anti-inflammatory non steroid).
